KEFEADO’s programs and projects are designed to influence change of community members’ attitudes and behavior around issues of gender equality and equity, gender-based violence, sexuality and human rights abuses in the name of culture.
. The program- Transforming & empowering communities through engendered economic development and growth (TIEGO) is a community-based methodology set to transform gender disparities among communities which perpetuate women’s rights violations under the justifications in culture.
KEFEADO has also engaged at the local, national and international level through organizing partners with humanity and inclusion under the “Making it Work Program” to ensure inclusion of women and girls with disability through community organizing to ensure that the issues of disability is intrinsically included in the gender agenda in development through sports for change and economic empowerment.

Despite global improvements in labor rights legislation and policy, women, people with disabilities, and youth are often identified as being at greater risk of lower, or unfavorable, participation in labor markets worldwide. Kenya is no exception.
KEFEADO works in collaboration with the Women Action Forum for Networking, Kenya Alliance for the Advancement of children’s Right, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) Prevention Network (a regional network with her secretariat in Kampala, Uganda), Gender Thematic Groups and National Stakeholders Network for Human Rights Educators. The networking enhances the quality of social change interventions and facilitates exchange of methodologies. Because of her track record, KEFEADO has emerged as a lead NGO in the region and these networks.
KEFEADO has carried out interventions in western Kenya region working in partnership with learning institutions, community based organizations (CBOs) and government agencies while networking locally, regionally and internationally.
